Rana Issa received her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Damascus University in Syria; she also completed her certificate on web design from Algonquin Collage.
Rana started teaching Quran and tajweed 8 years ago as a private tutor. She worked as a teacher at Al-Madinah Quran School in Kanata since 2014, and she is currently teaching Arabic language for grade 7/8 at Hikmah School in Kanata. She has also been made in charge of developing a new curriculum for the Arabic language for these grades. Other than teaching, Rana has a strong passion for art.
Rana’s primary reason for pursuing this career is because she feels a strong desire to positively influence and educate Muslim children. She believes education is where she can have the greatest impact on the community. She recognizes that patience, understanding, compassion, and sensitivity are essential to this profession.
Rana is currently teaching Quran and Islamic studies for grade 4/5 at Tarbiyah Learning.
