Resources We Use at TLA
Below you will find all the kinds of excellent resources we use currently at TLA. Some websites will have extra practice work or programs you may choose to further support your child. You may even choose to make book purchases from the website, but note that TLA is not an affiliate of any of these service providers.
From Kindergarden to Grade 8, all students at TLA work through the Jump Math materials. They have more for students and parents on their website. Click below to learn more about Jump Math.
MATH
Language Power Now is used at TLA for teaching and reviewing grammar only, with various other resources for other strands. See what Language Power Now offers for students.
ENGLISH
We take our curriculum for Social Studies (History and Geography) from the Ontario Curriculum. Browse the topics included in the provincial curriculum.
SOCIAL STUDIES
In the ECE levels, in Arabic class students work through ‘In the Arabic Garden’, while students older than them study from the ‘Iqra’ Reading series. Click below to learn more.

From Kindergarden to Grade 8, all students at TLA study from the Safar Curriculum for Islamic Studies. They have free teacher-made activities and printables for students and parents on their website. Click below to learn more about Safar Curriculum.
ISLAMIC STUDIES
In older grade Health studies, TLA teachers use the new curriculum ‘Health and Wellness from an Islamic Perspective’. Learn more about it by clicking below.
HEALTH STUDIES
We are honoured to be a 5D Thinking School, and have been using their beautiful curriculum for science. We supplement with the Ontario Curriculum for Science.
