FAQs
How long does the camp run this summer?
Tarbiyah Learning Summer Camp runs for 7 weeks total: from July 7 - August 22 2025.
What is the schedule each day?
The camp runs from 9 am until 3 pm. Drop off and pick up are at these times, but when there is a special activity on Thursdays, this year we are asking parents to pick up from the activity’s location instead of the school, to reduce bussing costs.
Do I have to register my child for the entire camp?
While we would love to spend the whole summer with your children, we have the handy option to choose which weeks suit your family best. After camp starts, we can also accomodate switching or adding weeks to your child’s camp experience.
Where do the children go on their trips while at camp?
Each year the trips are different, depending on the decisions by staff. When we aren’t leaving the school location, we have fun visitors come in to engage the campers for the day. This year the trips include local farms, bowling, parks, a trampoline park, and other fun spots close to the camp location.
Where is the camp located?
Tarbiyah Summer Camp is located in Tarbiyah Learning Academy, which is the second floor of Jami Omar Mosque, 3990 Old Richmond Road in Bells Corners.
How much does it cost per child?
The camp fee for each child is $150 per week. Please send payment via etransfer to the school, or you may also pay at the Tarbiyah Learning Academy office.
How safe is the location for my child?
Tarbiyah Learning Academy is a very safe, secure location. While the masjid is open for prayers, there is no access to the camp upstairs, which is behind a locked door with a secure entrance, opened only by staff inside the camp. Each class has at least 2 adults in it, and all activities have several supervisors to keep the children safe and having fun.
What will my child need for camp?
We ask that parents please pack pencils, erasers, colored pencils or markers, scissors and glue with a healthy, nut-free lunch for camp each day. This ensures that each camper can take part in all the arts and crafts and learning activities.
